Have a go Friday: Healthy Platters!

By now perhaps that NYR is running a bit thin and I’m suspect that there might have already been the odd “missed” session at the gym… but fear not!  If the wheels are starting to come off your healthy (eating) lifestyle here is a little tip to getting back on track with a healthy eating sharing platter.

I won’t lie I was inspired by the incredible feasts created by The Poor Girls Pantry – an Aussie duo that put together some out of this world eating experiences. Mine is on a much smaller scale but the perfect accompaniment for a drink and a catch up with friends.  Just put the platter in the middle of the table and nibble away.  That’s exactly what we did recently.  It’s a great way to eat healthy without thinking about it.

My platter contained the following but you can make it up as you go along, and really enjoy putting it together.  I also served mine with a selection of crackers;

  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Satsumas
  • Celery
  • Tomatoes
  • Olives
  • Good quality ham
  • Stuffed Bell Peppers
  • Cheeses – various
  • Salami
  • Sundried Tomatoes
  • Almonds
