It’s lunchtime. I’ve had a pants morning. And all I want is something sweet; but I have given up the “white death” (as the long suffering Sarz First calls it). What IS a gal to do?
Answer find a lovely little independent health food shop in the heart of Newbury town centre and purchase some of these delightful Rhythm 108 Lemon Ginger Chia ooh-la-la teas biscuits.
So what’s all the fuss about?
They were expensive, but they don’t contain any of the white death, which is what attracted me to them. Their ingredients are actually;
- Gluten free oat flour
- Coconut oil
- Coconut flour sugar
- Lemon Zest
- Lemon oil
- Baking powder
They are gluten free. They are vegan. And they are made in Switzerland. They are small but perfectly formed. They are incredibly moreish. And they definitely don’t seem like you’re actually eating healthy ingredients combined into a bitesized biscuit.
One con – for me anyway – because I have given up sugar they did seem very very sweet to me. And (if you count such arbitrary things) four biscuits will cost you 145 calories.
Do they come in any other flavours?
They sure do;
- Double chocolate hazelnut
- Almond Biscotti
Would I buy them again?
No question about, that let me tell you! These are just what you need for a ‘sweet’ hit when a banana, grapes or other fruit won’t cut it. Perfect for with a cuppa!
Check out the Rhythm 108 website to find out more because they are quite hard to get hold of. Amazon sell them, not all the flavours!
