I’ve been looking for a journal that inspires me and motivates me into writing in it. There are some great ones out there such as Start where you are by Meera Lee Patel or Gratitude Journal by Natalie Fox. But I wanted something that combines gratitude, motivation, mindfulness and reflection, so The Wellbeing Journal in aid of Mind – the metal health charity – fits that bill. As you can see from the slideshow below there are some fantastic activities to motivate and occupy your mind, particularly when you’re feeling anxious; and for me when anxiety strikes I have to do something to occupy my mind or my mind will start wandering and it’ll be panic attack city!
Whether you suffer with mental health issues or not it’s so therapeutic to write down what’s bothering you, what you dreams and goals are, how you’re feeling. The action of writing gets it from inside of you, to outside and it makes it that much more real. So if you’re anxious, writing about what makes you anxious can make a real difference to how you feel. Try it; you’ll be amazed.
