Living your life’s purpose…

When I’m coaching a client (or myself for that matter) I always want to get to what their life purpose  is.  What makes them feel alive?  Most people can’t really answer that question when we begin. They don’t really think about it or consider it important, but how wrong they are.

Let’s put it like this; can you answer yes to any of the following three questions?

  • Do you ever, currently or often feel stuck?
  • Do you feel like you’re in your very own Ground Hog movie?
  • Does your get up and go feel like it’s got up and gone?

Then it sounds like you’re not pursuing your life’s purpose.  Now before we get bogged down in the enormity of your “life’s purpose” it doesn’t have to be a grand world-changing activity or initiative or achievement (but if it is, great).  It can be as simple as living your life inline with your own true set of values, every day.

You have been given a wonderful array of gifts and talents to be shared with the world.  Whether this is being a loving spouse or parent; it might being a creative type. It could be being a talented teacher or an animal lover.  By using your gifts and talents, and living inline with your beliefs these little incremental steps are bringing you closer to your life’s purpose.

If what you’re currently doing isn’t making your heart sing, then you need to make some changes.  I’m not suggesting you jack your job in and go backpacking across the globe (unless you really want to, then go for it).  No, I’m suggesting you start discovering your likes and dislikes; binning what doesn’t make your heart sing and moving in the direction of bliss.

Once you start living a more aligned life you’ll know; because you’ll feel it.  Life will seem far more effortless and easy!

If you’d like to explore this more through my one to one life coaching please get in touch.  I’d love to work with you…
