Capturing the energies of the Full Strawberry Moon

“We see the same moon, you and I…”

The Full Strawberry 🍓 Moon 🌝 happens today 24 June 2021 at 19:39 BST. This particular moon is so called because it comes at what’s considered the height of the Strawberry season in the northern hemisphere, not because it’s Strawberry coloured! It’s also known as the Lover’s Moon, Summer Moon and Rose Moon. And brings with it the qualities of tenacity, positivity, curiosity, optimism, gumption and openness.

Spiritual meaning

The Strawberry Moon’s spiritual meaning embodies the magic and fullness of life. Plump fat Strawberries are often associated with l’amour, a food of love. They symbolize love and luck and are representative of the goddess Freya. Does this mean you going to be lucky in love?

STAR Light

This full moon is the perfect time to review goals, start fresh and deep dive into personal growth! It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of starting something new, but, as always, small changes mount up to big changes over time. So pace yourself, don’t get carried away and try to do everything at once. Instead spend time considering your goals, work on your intentions and make them, like the night sky dweller, STAR – Specific, Time-bound, Achievable and Realistic.

On the flip side, if you’re facing a difficult decision this is the best moment to make it. You may also have been avoiding facing up to responsibilities; face up to them!

Get creative

Finally, if you’ve never done it before, use the full moon to create your own ritual. It might be gathering discarded bounty from Mother Earthly and putting them somewhere on display as an altar or it might be sitting quietly at that moment when day becomes night and mindfully meditating.

Whatever you choose to do this full moon, remember the energies are particularly strong, as they coming in conjunction with the Summer Solstice, where the energy of the sun is at its peak too. And even the least susceptible amongst us will be affected by the full moon energies at this time.
